Most of what passes for “content” these days is disposable. Made fast, optimized for whatever invisible math decides what people see today, and forgotten about five minutes later.
That never interested me much.
I’m Kennyatta, and what I care about are the stories that stick. The ones rooted in culture, in places, in the messy, contradictory reality of how people actually live, work, and make things.

Working with Bethany Chasteen of SELECT Model Management was such a dope experience. As a photographer, it’s a privilege to work with a model or talent that isn’t just comfortable with their body, but they also are courageous and creative enough to really engage with the idea at hand, no matter how simple. Bethany had these traits. Whether it was the grapes, balancing on chairs and sides of the ocean, or walking a quarter of a mile just to make sure we got the shots on the beach (and even then, she engaged with the seaweed on her own), whatever the concept was, Bethany was all in to make sure the shots we got was a fully committed one.
